The Horror Hoarder

I really wanted to attend Creature Feature Weekend. I also really wanted to attend GalaxyCon Richmond and HorrorHound Weekend. And of course, I had to attend MegaCon. Unfortunately, they were all on the same weekend. MegaCon was the obvious choice, as it's less than an hour from my house. It's Day 2 for me, Day 4 for those lucky enough to attend all 4 days. I got up reasonably early and walked over at around 7:30am. I was probably about 30-40 people back in the re-entry line. Today was originally supposed to be a pretty chill day for me. But that was before I made a kind of last minute decision to get a couple of photo ops, as well as autographs from the entire The Mummy cast. MegaCon used to scare the crap out of me. The 2024 event was the first one that was on my radar, as I only started collecting horror autographs the previous October. There were lots of people I needed at that event, but I was too chicken to go. So I got my friend Eric at Category Five Autograph Consignments (look them up on Facebook, they're great) to get a bunch of autographs for me. In the leadup to the 2025 event, I decided to put on my big boy pants and attend myself.

Today is the big day. It's Emma Roberts first ever convention appearance. One day only. People flying in from all over the place to meet her. I usually don't attend conventions on Sundays. My job requires travel almost every week, so being gone for a full weekend means I basically don't see my wife at all that week, or have any time to do laundry, etc. So I usually try to finish everything by Saturday afternoon/evening, and then drive/fly home after that.
